UPPER HUNTER DUST MONITORING 7-OCT-2012 21:00
Health Alert. Merriwa air pollution exceeded national health standards for PM10 at Sat 06/10/12 23:00.
Health Alert. Wybong air pollution exceeded national health standards for PM10 at Sun 07/10/12 00:00
There was a glitch in the dust monitors. Both Bulga and Mt. Thorley recorded negative PM10 levels at 04:00. On-line monitoring page failed to display at 08:00

For the first time in the previous month the monitors at Bulga,Warkworth and Wybong have recorded 24-hours dust levels exceeding the PM10=50 health limit This can be at least partly explained by the position of the existing open cut mines and by the prevailing wind direction.
