Today we have received the following email and distributed it to all HVPA mailing lists and Facebook.
Hi,
I'm sending the following link to various websites to see if we can expose AGL's plans for our area to a wider audience. It would be appreciated if you could post a link:

The email related to the following article in Macarthur Chronicle : AGL reveals new coal seam gas plan for Macarthur area

AGL’S $100 million expansion plans for the Camden Gas Project have raised fresh concerns about environmental risks from the company’s activities in the Macarthur area.

Plans placed on public exhibition last Tuesday show the Northern Expansion would add up to 72 wells to the project’s existing 130 .

While Mayor Chris Patterson said Camden Council would not comment before studying the plans, Campbelltown Council will submit several objections. One objection - that surface- and ground-water impacts have not been properly addressed - hints at an emerging local backlash against the gas-stimulation technique widely employed in coal seam drilling, known as “fracing”.

CAMDEN GASFIELDS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AGL'S SUCCESS STORY! Note what they say about hydraulic fracturing. Would they (i.e. AGL) be prepared to issue a signed statutory statement about fracking?

Further information this Topic: AGL is expanding their CAMDEN gasfield under Part 3a legislation. That means fast-tracking and all decisions made by the Minister Department. We in the Wollombi Valley should expect no less then the time is ripe! More details on NSW Part 3a Major Projects legislation are given here.

Part 3a application for expansion of Camden Gas Project:

The Camden Gas Project - Stage 3, which includes the:
- expansion of the Camden Gas Project to the north-east of the existing gas fields;
- construction and operation of up to 12 surface well locations, each having up to 6 well heads;
- development and use of associated infrastructure, including gas gathering lines and access roads;
- production of methane gas using existing and proposed infrastructure; and
- rehabilitation of the land used by the project. The Camden Gas Project - Stage 3, which includes the:
