Saturday, 28 May, 2011. Gas Watch 106 Coal Seam Methane Gas Miner AGL Energy Mocks Community Consultation.
The community has taken Consultation into its own hands. We have called our own Community Consultative Committee meeting for 14th June; we have invited – the previous CCC members; Government Ministers; AGL Energy; Council Reps; Departmental Reps; an independent Chair. It seems the only way we can try and have AGL consult at all is to force the issue.

The Broke Bulga Coal Seam Methane Gas CCC was disbanded last November when AGL decided the CCC was an “activist group”.

The Minister then agreed to appoint a new CCC to cover a wider area.

He appointed Ms. Margaret Macdonald-Hill as the new Chair, and directed her to seek nominations. She did that, however she directed that all nominations and resumés be sent to AGL Energy !!

Something very wrong here!
