The Land and Environment Court has dismissed the judicial review launched by the Barrington-Gloucester-Stroud Preservation Alliance against the Planning & Assessment Commission’s approval of AGL’s 330 well coal seam gas project in the Gloucester Valley.

BGSPA spokesperson Graeme Healy said “there is widespread disappointment about the decision.”

“We will be looking at the decision in detail over coming days with a view to issuing a comprehensive statement at a later date. The case exemplifies just how bad the notorious Part 3A really was and will continue to be for years to come. Although it has now been repealed, projects in the pipeline and any modifications to existing projects, will continue to be determined under Part 3A.”

Bad news indeed. Need to read the whole of the judgment to see what damage it does to our cause.
