Hi All,
As expected the new CEO of NSW Minerals Council is a high profile male. Be interesting to see how the Upper Hunter Dialogue progresses from this point.

Treasurer's top adviser quits to head mining body
December 9, 2011
One of the O'Farrell government's most senior advisers has jumped ship to join the state's peak coalmining industry lobby group.
Stephen Galilee, who has been chief of staff to the Treasurer, Mike Baird, since April, has quit to become the chief executive of the NSW Minerals Council, it was announced this afternoon.
Mr Galilee is a former staffer with the federal Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, and also worked for the former prime minister John Howard.

The announcement comes as the Premier, Barry O'Farrell, and the Energy Minister, Chris Hartcher, are under increasing pressure over how to resolve the conflicts between coal and coal seam gas mining and agriculture in NSW.
This week, the government intervened in a dispute between coal explorer NuCoal Resources and blind farmer Ian Moore over access to his land. After discussions with the government the company agreed not to begin exploration.
In a statement, Mr Baird said Mr Galilee had joined his office in the understanding he would assist during the transition period following the March election.
"He accepted the role on the understanding that he would assist me during the incoming government's transition period and early stages before moving on," he said.
"I am grateful for the support and advice Stephen has provided to me during this challenging and exciting period."
The chairman of the NSW Minerals Council, Mick Buffier, said Mr Gaililee would begin in the role in January.
