Arkansas Earthquakes Could Be Man-Made

Postby HVPA_research » Wed Mar 02, 2011 5:29 am

This is the latest report about clusters of small earthquakes from a seismically unstable area in Arkansas,USA where a lot of un-conventional gas drilling also takes place (Arkansas Earthquakes Could Be Man-Made ).
Some scientists suspect that pumping saline gas produce water back into geological formations may cause the earthquakes. Apparently, this is NOT associated with hydraulic fracturing.

The important point for us here is that the Queensland CSG industry and the Government see underground disposal as a future solution to their waste water problem.
